Supporters for Trailwalker 2011 Wanted and Fund Raising

OXFAM Trailwalker is a race held every year to help raise money to fight poverty, distress, and suffering in Africa and Asia including Hong Kong and the mainland. Our school has formed a team registered as ‘International Wing Chun Organization’ membered by Christopher Tilbe, Jerry Yip, Peter Woo, and Pierre Colliot to join the race. We have a financial target to raise at least $6,800HKD by December 20. By achieving $30,000HKD, we can secure a place for our school to race again next year. The route begin at 1230 on November 18 in Pak Tam Chung and finish by 1230 November 19 at the Po Leung Kuk Holiday Camp in Yuen Long. Each team consists of four people and all four MUST finish the race and check-in at separate checkpoints for 100Km, we plan to achieve the target by using only 24 hours with strategy, although 48 hours is allowed for the race along the Maclehose trail.

Our school is the only Wing Chun related team and the mission for this participation is to build awareness of Wing Chun Martial Art and our school as well as to perform our community duty to help fight poverty and suffering around the world! To achieve our goal though, we need to form a Racer Support Team headed by SiFu. The role of a Racer Support Team member is: (some of these Racer Support Teams will need to help be with us in the middle of the night. Actually, that is the best time to join since it is not hot!!!!)

· Walk two sections with us
· Carry a two-way radio and be the communication person with our Checkpoint Support Team
· Provide motivational support for the Racers
